Mark Scala, Director of the Nashville
Museum of Art, described Hickory Dickory Clock as follows:
Jacob Cress uses traditional woodworking
techniques in the creation of fabulous furniture sculptures. In
this piece, a dignified grandfather clock comes alive, his face
grimacing as he uses the pendulum bob to smash an annoying mouse
trying to run up the clock's cabinet. The other mouse was too
quick for the clock's outstretched foot.

In a
world where furniture makers call themselves artists, Jake pokes
fun by building pieces that are designed to make you laugh. He
also makes "normal" pieces of almost any style, a few
of which are shown here.
